The green binder,
rebuilt for your pocket.

Leaders Book is a digital leader's book for Army leaders, from fire team to battery. Roster, PERSTAT, trackers, and unit comms in one place, built to keep up with hectic units where the mission moves faster than the paperwork.

iPhone, iOS 18 and up. Free during beta on TestFlight.

Sound familiar?

Tracking people is the job.
The tools make it harder.

The binder

It lives in the connex

The paper leader's book is never where you are. Numbers change, pages fall out, and the new guy's info is on a sticky note in your other uniform.

The group chat

Accountability by text

"Everybody check in" turns into 40 messages, three thumbs up, and no actual count. Who is present, who is on leave, who never answered? Scroll and pray.

The tracker

One laptop has the truth

The spreadsheet lives on a shared drive you cannot reach from the motor pool. By the time it syncs, the formation already happened.

What's inside

One app. The whole book.

Everything below ships in the beta today. Real screenshots from the app.

One-tap PERSTAT

Start a check-in and watch the roll-up fill live. Everyone gets one big I'M PRESENT button. Tap any status box to see names, not just numbers.

A roster that looks like your unit

Build your structure, platoons, sections, squads, crews. Real rank insignia on every profile. Filter by rank, position, additional duty, badge, or what's due in 30 days.

Profiles that fill themselves

Point the camera at a printed SRB and watch name, rank, MOS, ETS, and more autofill. You review every field before it saves. AFT scores, weapons quals with dates, medical readiness, serial numbers.

Trackers that land on a calendar

Leave, duty, taskings with multiple Soldiers, vehicle manifests with driver, TC, and gunner seats, appointments, counseling, flags. Filter the calendar by any element.

A feed your unit actually reads

Post updates and alerts. Tag elements or people with @. Attach polls or tracked tasks with a live done counter and a remind-the-stragglers button. React with any emoji. Pin what matters.

Built for the field

Prepare for the field pins your whole book to the phone and keeps working with zero signal, then syncs when you're back. Night vision turns the whole app red so you can read without lighting up your position. Export the whole book to PDF for the CQ desk.

How it works

Easy to learn. Faster than the binder.

01

Stand up your unit

Pick your level, battery to fire team. The wizard builds your structure in about a minute. Or open a fully populated demo unit and poke around first.

02

Bring your people in

Add Soldiers by hand, scan their SRB, or share one invite code so your leadership and Soldiers join themselves. Whole-unit codes move an entire book at once.

03

Run the day from your pocket

Check-ins at formation, trackers for everything moving, the feed for everything else. When you PCS, hand the whole book to the next leader with one code.

Community driven

Built with the formation,
not for a brochure

Leaders Book grows from what leaders ask for. The bug report button inside the app goes straight to the builder, and beta testers steer what ships next.

  • Your data belongs to your unit. Hand it off, export it, or delete it permanently, your call.
  • No full SSNs, no full DoD ID numbers, no classified material. The app enforces the rules the CSM would.
  • Leadership sees admin data. Soldiers see the roster, feed, and calendar. Everyone sees only what they should.
  • Not a secure comms platform, and honest about it. Coordination and tracking, nothing sensitive.
